Allison Rivers of Allison's Gourmet creates gourmet vegan desserts made with organic ingredients. In addition to the mail-order cookie and brownie business on her website, Allison also makes wedding cakes. When I met with Allison, she demonstrated a real commitment to crafting quality desserts and to a food philosophy that values use of organic ingredients free from animal products. The wedding cake she created for us was fabulous—better than many non-vegan cakes I've eaten. Read my recommendation of Allison's Gourmet that I posted on TheKnot.com's discussion boards.
